The Pact
The Pact by Jodi Piccoult was another great book club discussion book. We rated the book 7.5, mostly because of the discussion the topic provoked. Most agreed this was a difficult story to read, but well worth our time. Johanna chose this book "because Alyssa recommended it". We had wonderful food and wine and even better conversation. Thanks to Johanna for hosting and welcome to our newest member Lori.

Sorry I didn't make book club. I was so close to finishing the book, and didn't want the end spoiled. I did finish it Friday night. I would agree with the 7.5 rating. It was a good read, but too many loose ends at the end. Her writing was somewhat predictable campared with the school shooting book. Almost the same plot. Would have liked to have been there for the discussion, I had some thoughts of my own on the sexual abuse part. Too much to get into on the page. Betti
